The Advanced Networks Research Lab at UT Dallas
conducts research related to the design and evaluation of
architectures and protocols for next-generation telecommunications
networks. Current research work focuses on (1) QoS and
contention resolution in optical burst-switched and photonic
packet-switched networks, (2) survivability and traffic grooming in
wavelength-routed WDM networks, and (3) dual-homing protection in
multi-layer telecommunication networks.
